    Upon arrival at the helipad you will receive a thorough safety briefing by one of our qualified staff member. You will then be escorted to the helicopter where you will be seated according to weight and balance. Be sure to bring a jacket as the helicopter will fly with open doors.  You will fly to the West Coast where you will experience all a variety of combat simulated maneuvers and low level flying. The open doors will ensure that you have the best views of Cape Town and that you are in full adrenaline mode; there will be no dull moments.  Only the most experienced pilots are recruited to fly this iconic helicopter. To ensure safety the Huey undergoes regular inspections by our group of aeronautic engineers.

Ein klasse Ausflug, der Kapstadt noch beeindruckender erscheinen lässt. Wir sind bei offenen Türen und Sonnenschein tief über den Boden bzw. über den Strand geflogen. Selbst mit begrenzter Höhentauglichkeit war das kein Problem. Der Sound der Huey ist einzigartig. Die Crew ist durchaus auf die Sicherheit und das Wohlbefinden der Passagiere bedacht. Der Helikopter ist optisch in einem super Zustand und die Piloten nehmen sich Zeit für die Sicherheitschecks. Ein wirklich sicheres Gefühl. Sowas bekommt man in Europa nicht geboten.

Der Flug mit der Huey ist ein tolles Erlebnis vor allem für Leute, die eine nostalgische Beziehung zur UH-1D haben. Dementsprechend sind meist ein paar Veteranen unter den Gästen. Ein super Pilot, er fliegt absolut souverän. Der Flug selber ist sehr schön, es geht an der Küste nach Norden und dann mit ein paar Turns im Tiefflug zurück, darum heißt es auch Combat Ride. Das Ganze ist an ein militärisches Einsatzprofil angelehnt, also nichts für Hardore-Pazifisten. Buchung, Ticketverkauf und Organisation sind bestens, das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

What a unique and awesome experience…..been wanting to do this one for years and finally managed to get myself to Cape Town and booked a flight. If you like helicopters this is a ‘must do’ trip and you will get the full ‘Nam’ experience with open doors, low level flying, simulated troop insertion/extraction, the lot. It is quite expensive but hey it is worth it……I will definitely try and do it again on a future trip to Cape Town and would certainly never get bored of it!
